We're proud to be supporting Sainsbury's and Comic Relief's Move for Meals campaign, helping raise vital funds to tackle food poverty across the UK.
Today, one in seven families in the UK struggles to access enough food, and too many children are going to bed hungry. Through our partnership with Comic Relief, Sainsbury's is aiming to raise £6 million this year, helping provide 12 million meals to children and families who need them most.
To do our part, colleagues from District 9 will be taking on a sponsored hike from Urmston to Sale via Sale Water Park, covering approximately 13.4km in around 3.5 to 4 hours. Along the way, we'll also be stopping at local Argos stores to show our support for fellow colleagues and raise awareness for this fantastic cause.
This challenge is about more than completing a walk. Every pound donated helps provide access to nutritious meals for children and families facing food insecurity. Even small donations can make a real difference, and thanks to Sainsbury's commitment, every pound raised will be matched by the business, doubling the impact of your support.
